I can relate to this. I’m an all-or-nothing person whose brain can’t stop measuring. Even resting, I’m judging whether I’m enjoying it enough. Though for me the block isn’t quite the trying. It’s that I can’t rest until some internal part of me agrees I’ve earned the right to. The permission comes first, and no amount of setting the conditions produces it.
The permission coming first is interesting, and something I can relate to as well. I think I’d probably count that permission as one of the conditions though. Maybe even one of the most important ones.
